TAGAYTAY CITY has a tropical monsoon climate with hot and wet summer during warm season and cool and dry during cold season.
TAGAYTAY CITY lies at an altitude of 639 meters above sea level alongside a ridge stretching 22 kilometers from east to west. The core of the city lies on top level of the ridge that forms the edge of TAAL CALDERA.

Cold season (December to February) are usually misty, foggy and dry until the return of monsoon rain. Mild temperatures that usually drops to an average of 26 degrees centigrade (80.1 F).
Day and nights are of similar duration due to Tagaytay's proximity to the equator.
Transition weather is brief and mild as equal to Spring and Autumn.
TAGAYTAY CITY has an annual sunshine that lasts for 2,135 hrs. The average humidity is approximately 78% which is relatively low than other adjoining areas of Cavite Province. Cloudy skies remain most of the time during the approach of wet season. Rainfall is more abundant during June to September and most of the region is misty in the mornings.
